Starting with Maconomy 2.6.8 and 3.0, a properly configured Valkey server is required; otherwise, the features will not function. |

MConfig MConfigMaconomy 2.6.4 now uses MConfig 11.0, which does not support the installation, maintenance, or configuration of Maconomy 2.3 (Internal Version 19) or earlier releases. Some functionality not explicitly related to specific Maconomy versions, such as backup setup and documentation databases, has been removed in MConfig 11.0. To handle Maconomy version 2.3 or earlier, you must use older MConfig versions, such as MConfig 10.3. When attempting to use MConfig 11.0 with Maconomy 2.3 or earlier, MConfig displays an error message suggesting you use an older MConfig version. When using MConfig 10.3 on a server with Maconomy 2.3 or earlier, MConfig displays a warning that it is the last version supporting the said Maconomy version. |

Scheduled Removal of Legacy Excel Export Format In a release scheduled for 2026, Maconomy will discontinue support for the legacy output format, .xls (Excel 2003), for exports. The Export to Excel action will instead use the .xlsx format. This change simplifies export functionality and eliminates the need to handle .xls-specific cases during future enhancements. Please review and update any extensions or integrations that rely on the .xls format. Ensure your tools are compatible with .xlsx before the change takes effect. |

BusinessObjects 4.3 SP4 Patch 10+ BusinessObjects (BO) 4.3 SP4 Patch 10 and later versions (including BO 4.3 SP5+) are not currently certified for use with Maconomy. Note: If you encounter a critical issue that requires Patch 10+, please contact the Product Manager (Chris Challenor) to discuss the situation and the associated risks related to Trusted Authentication.
Patch 10 introduces the de-support of the current trusted authentication mechanism between Maconomy and BO (BPM). A new authentication mechanism will be required in a future version of Maconomy. For customers upgrading from Patch 7 or earlier to Patch 10+, the old authentication may still function. However, there is a risk that if a user disables Trusted Authentication in the CMS and restarts it, reporting in the production environment could break. In such cases, recovery would require a downgrade to Patch 7, followed by a re-upgrade to Patch 10+ to restore BPM functionality in Maconomy. We are actively working on migrating to the new Trusted Authentication mechanism. Once this is implemented, Maconomy will support BO 4.3 SP4 Patch 10 and later versions. |

MyPlan Users Upgrading to Maconomy 2.6.3 or Later If you are using the native Maconomy Web Client version of People Planner's MyPlan and plan to upgrade to Maconomy 2.6.3 or later, you must also upgrade People Planner to version 4.6 or later. Failure to do so will result in MyPlan becoming non-functional, as it references fields that are not available in earlier versions of People Planner. Workaround: To maintain functionality without upgrading People Planner, customize the MyPlan layout to remove references to the non-existent fields. |
