Create a New Asset

Use these steps to create an asset.

To create a new asset:

1. Go to General Ledger > Fixed Assets > > Home.
2. Click the New Asset action.
3. In the Create Asset wizard, enter the asset number in the Asset No. field.
4. In the Asset Group field, select the asset group from the dropdown list.
5. Click Next.
6. In the Date field, enter or select the acquisition date.
7. In the Cost field, enter the cost of the asset.
8. Complete the remaining required fields.
9. Click Create.
