Select the Approval Required check box under the Approval Hierarchy Rules tab of the Approval Hierarchies workspace to ensure that all transactions and master data go through the specified approval hierarchies.

In addition, perform the necessary steps for the parameters found in the System Parameters tab of the Approval Hierarchies workspace. The list of system parameters varies, depending on the selected transaction or type of master data.
