Use the Project Detail dashpart base to display transaction detail for projects in your dashboards.

Cost and billing related columns display values in either the billing or project currency, depending on the configuration of Use Billing (Not Project) Currency for Reporting in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options.

Field Description
Account This column displays the account ID that is associated with the transaction.
Account Name This column displays the name of the account that is associated with the transaction.
Actual Completion For completed projects, this column displays the actual completion date.
AR Invoice Status

The status of each pay when paid (PWP) voucher:

  • NF: Not found. You posted the voucher, but the voucher is not yet associated with a final invoice for the project, or is not associated with a final invoice at the appropriate level. This status only appears for vouchers marked as PWP.
  • NP: Not paid. You have accepted the final invoice and posted the resulting invoice file that contains the PWP voucher, but you have not been paid for the invoice by your client.
  • PD: Paid. You posted the cash receipt from the client for the invoice on which you billed the voucher. The voucher is available for payment processing.
AR Invoice Status Description This column displays a description of the AR invoice status.
Bid Date This column displays the date on which your firm first bid on the project.
Bill by Default

This column displays one of the following settings to indicate whether or not to bill the client for certain expense charges:

  • Yes: Always bill expense charges to the client, whether or not the Bill by Default option is selected for the associated category in Expense Settings.
  • No: Never bill expense charges to the client, whether or not the Bill by Default option is selected for the associated category in Expense Settings.
  • Category: Only bill charges to the client if the Bill by Default option is selected for the associated category in Expense Settings.
Billable Message

This column displays one of the following values to indicate whether or not an error message displays when a user charges certain expenses to the project in an expense report:

  • No Message: No message displays when the Bill by Default option for the expense category is different from the Bill by Default option for the project.
  • Warning: A warning message displays when the Bill by Default option for the expense category is different from the Bill by Default option for the project. You must explicitly choose to continue with the transaction if you want to charge the expense to the project with the selected expense category.
  • Error: An error message displays when the Bill by Default option for the expense category is different from the Bill by Default option for the project. You cannot charge the expense to the project with the selected category.
Biller This column displays the name of the employee who is responsible for creating the billing invoices for a project, as specified on the Overview tab of the Projects hub.

This field is not available on a promotional project when it is linked to a regular project.

Billing Address This column displays the client's billing street address, city, state, and ZIP code. If the address is too long for the width of the column, it continues on additional lines within the column.
Billing Amount This column displays the billing value (billing extension) for the transaction.
Billing Client ID This column displays the identifier for the client to be billed.
Billing Client Name This column displays the name of the client to be billed.
Billing Contact This column displays the billing contact for the client.
Billing Contact Email This column displays the email address for the billing contact for the client.
Billing Contact Fax This column displays the fax number for the billing contact for the client.
Billing Contact ID This column displays the billing contact identification code for the client.
Billing Contact Phone This column displays the phone number for the billing contact for the client.
Billing Currency Code This column displays the three-character code for the billing currency.
Billing Currency Count This column displays the count for the billing currency used in the dashpart.
Billing Status This column displays the billing status of the labor hours. The following are the possible status settings:
  • B: Billable: The transaction is released and available for billing to the client.
  • D: To Be Deleted: The transaction is marked for deletion.
  • F: Final Billed: The transaction has been billed to the client.
  • H: Held: The transaction is being held temporarily to prevent billing to the client.
  • M: Modified: The transaction has been modified in some way from its original form.
  • N: Not Billable: The transaction is not billable.
  • O: Deleted: The transaction was marked for deletion, included in a billing run, and deleted.
  • R: Partial Hold/Released: Part of the transaction has been held or released.
  • T: Transferred: The transaction was moved from one project, phase, or task to another.
  • W: To Be Written Off: The transaction has been written off, but the invoice has not been posted.
  • X: Written Off: The transaction has been written off, and the invoice has been posted.
Billing Status Description This column displays the description of the billing status code.
Billing Type This column displays the selected unit method based on billing terms.
Budget Amount

This column displays the budgeted amount.

If you use Planning, your selection in Budget Source on the Options tab determines whether budget information comes from the project budget worksheet, the associated plan's budget, or the associated plan's baseline.

Budget Level This column displays the level of project plan information to check for budget values as timesheet hours are entered: Employee Only, Labor Code Only, or Both. This Budget Validation option is set on the Accounting Tab of the Projects Form for each WBS branch.
Budgeted OH Rate This column displays the budgeted overhead rate. If you use the assignment method for overhead allocation, Vantagepoint uses the budgeted overhead rate for both budgeting and allocation purposes. For all other overhead allocation methods, Vantagepoint uses the budgeted overhead rate only to calculate the overhead amount for the project's budget.
Budgeted Source If your firm uses Resource Management, this column displays the source of the budget data included on the report: plan or project record.
Budgeted Validation This column displays the type of budget or plan validation to apply to timesheet hours entered for the WBS branch: None, Warning, or Error. This option is set on the Accounting Tab of the Projects Form.
Business Development Lead This column displays the name of the employee designated as the business development lead for the project.
Business Development Lead Number This column displays the phone number of the business development lead.
Charge Type

This column displays one of the following charge types for the project:

  • R: Regular projects are revenue-producing. Costs charged to regular projects include direct labor, direct expense, and reimbursable expense. Vantagepoint retains the detail for a regular project for the life of the project.
  • H: Overhead projects are not revenue-producing. Costs charged to overhead projects include indirect labor and indirect expense. Vantagepoint distributes the total cost of these projects to regular projects during overhead allocation. Typical overhead projects can include General Overhead, Vacation, Sick Leave, Holiday, and Civic Duty. Vantagepoint resets job-to-date costs to zero for overhead projects when you initialize for a new fiscal year.
  • P: Promotional projects track the cost to acquire a job. If you obtain the contract, you can create a new regular project and transfer the detail to it to be billed or tracked. A promotional project is similar to an overhead project. However, Vantagepoint does not zero out job-to-date costs at the start of each fiscal year for promotional projects.
Client Address

For clients that use more than one address, this column displays an address description to indicate which address is associated with the project. For example, this column might display one of the following:

  • <Default>: The default address from the Firms hub
  • Corporate HQ: The address of the client's headquarters
  • London: The address for the client's office in London, UK
Client Billing Address

For clients that use more than one address, this column displays an address description to indicate which address is the billing address for the project. For example, this column might display one of the following:

  • <Default>: This is the default address from the Firms hub.
  • Corporate HQ: This is the address of the client's headquarters.
  • London: This is the address for the client's office in London, UK.
Client ID This column displays the identifier for the client associated with the project.
Client Invoice This column displays the number of the invoice on which you billed the client for an item on the voucher.
Client Invoice Date This column displays the date when the client invoice was made.
Client Invoice Payment Date This column displays the date when the client invoice was paid.
Client Name This column displays the client associated with the project.
Client Period This column displays the accounting period in which you billed the client for an item on the voucher.
Completion Comment This column displays the comments entered for the completion date.
Concatenated Client Address This column displays the firm's street address, city, state, and ZIP code. If the address is too long for the width of the column, it continues on additional lines within the column.
Confidential Project Alias This column displays the alternate name that Vantagepoint uses in proposals in place of the actual client name when the client requests that you keep the firm's name confidential.
Construction Completion Date This column displays the date on which your firm completed all work.
Contact This column displays the identifier of the contact.
Contact EMail This column displays the contact's email address.
Contact Fax This column displays the fax number for the contact.
Contact Name This column displays the name of the contact.
Contact Phone This column displays the phone number for the contact.
Contract Award Date This column displays the date when the contract was awarded.
Contract Date This column displays the date on which your firm was awarded the contract.
Cost Rate Method If you use Payroll and you set the Enable Cost Rate Tables option to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options, this column displays one of the following cost rate methods:
  • From Employee Cost Rate
  • From Labor Rate Table
  • From Category Rate Table
  • From Labor Code Table
  • None
Cost Rate Table If you use Payroll and you set the Enable Cost Rate Tables option to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options, this column displays one of the following cost rate tables:
  • Labor Rate Table
  • Category Rate Table
  • Labor Code Table

This column is blank if Cost Rate Method contains From Employee Cost Rate.

Create Date This column displays the date on which the project plan was created.
Create User This column displays the Vantagepoint employee name linked to the user ID of the employee who created the plan.
Cross Charge - Apply Rate Method This column displays the cross charge method for the project from the Apply Rate Method at this Level field on the Accounting tab of the Projects form:
  • Global: Vantagepoint uses the cross charge method specified on the Cross Charge tab of the Individual Organization Setup form.
  • Project: Vantagepoint uses the cross charge method specified in the Rate Method field on the Accounting tab of the Projects form.
  • None: Vantagepoint does not generate cross charges for the project.
Cross Charge Method This column displays the labor cross charge transfer price calculation method for this project, phase, or task:
  • Billing Terms: This means that the cross charge method for the project, phase, or task is based on its billing terms setting.
  • Multiplier: This means that the cross charge method is a multiplier.
Cross Charge Rate This column displays the markup rate that Vantagepoint uses when it transfers revenue back to an employee's organization or when it transfers an employee's overhead charges to the organization associated with the project.
Customer Confidential This column displays Yes or No to indicate whether or not the customer firm's name is confidential and is to be excluded from all proposals. If the customer's name is confidential and you include the project in a proposal, Vantagepoint substitutes an alias for the customer name.
Date Opened This column displays the date on which you identified the project and began pursuing the job.
Days Open This column displays the number of days the project has been open. For a won, lost, or no longer pursued project, this column displays the number of days from the date it was opened to its won/lost date.
Description 1, Description 2 These columns display the descriptions for each transaction detail line. The following types of descriptions are stored for each transaction:
  • Description 1 is a general description of the transaction (for example, the name of the vendor for an accounts payable voucher).
  • Description 2 is a more specific description of the transaction (for example, the description entered during transaction entry for a single item on a voucher).
Detail Group This column displays which group the transaction detail is part of:
  • Labor
  • Direct Consultants
  • Direct Expenses
  • Reimbursable Consultants
  • Reimbursable Expenses
  • Overhead
Detail Type This column displays the transaction detail type that is associated with the record:
  • Labor & Overhead
  • Expenses
Discounts Taken This column displays the amount of discounts already taken for the voucher.

If you are using multiple currencies, the displayed amount uses the functional currency.

Duration This column displays the total expected duration of the contract (for example, 1 year base plus 4 x 1 year option).
Employee First Name This column displays the first name of the employee associated with the record.
Employee ID This column displays the employee's identification number.
Employee Last Name This column displays the last name of the employee associated with the record.
Employee Middle Name This column displays the middle name of the employee associated with the record.
Employee Name This column displays the employee's name (Last Name, First Name).
Employee Organization This column displays the organization code that is associated with the employee. If your firm is not using organizations, this column is not available.
Employee Organization Name This column displays the organization name that the employee is associated with. If your firm is not using organizations, this column is not available.
Employee Supervisor Name This column displays the name of the employee's supervisor that is associated with the record.
Employee Supervisor Number This column displays the ID number of the employee's supervisor that is associated with the record.
Employee Title This column displays the title of the employee associated with the project (for example, Architect, Engineer, or Designer).
End Date This column displays the end date of the project, phase, or task.
Estimated Completion This column displays the date on which the project is or was scheduled to be completed. It is assigned as a milestone on the Dates & Costs tab in Hubs > Projects > Project.
Estimated Start This column displays the date you expect to begin work if you are awarded the project. It is assigned as a milestone on the Dates & Costs tab in Hubs > Projects > Project.
Expense Percent Complete This column displays the estimated percent complete for labor.
Expense Report Line Item Approval This Yes/No column indicates whether or not expense report line item approval is set up for the project. Anyone set up as an approver (typically a principal, project manager, or supervisor) can review and then approve or reject individual expense charges for their projects.
Federal Project This Yes/No column indicates whether or not the project is for the federal government.
Fiscal Period This column displays the accounting period for the transaction.
Functional Currency Code This column displays the three-character code for the functional currency.
Functional Currency Count This column displays the number of functional currencies used by the record.
Functional Currency Count This column displays the name of functional currency used by the record.
Government Award Type This column displays the government award type associated with the project.
Invoice Date This column displays the invoice date.
Labor Category This column displays the employee's labor category (for example, Principal, Project Manager. or Engineer).
Labor Code This column displays the labor code for the transaction.
Labor Code Description This column displays the description of the labor code that is associated with transaction.
Labor Code Level 1-5 This column displays the level details for the record's labor code
Labor Comments This column displays the comments entered for the timesheet record.
Labor Percent Complete This column displays the estimated percent complete for labor.
Liability Code This column displays the accounts payable liability code to which this voucher was posted. The liability code provides a way to identify the account that receives the implicit posting when the voucher is posted. The liability code defines the credit posting in the general ledger.

If your firm uses organizations and you maintain separate balance sheets by organization, the liability code is also linked to an organization code.

Locale If you use Payroll, this column displays the state for payroll taxes.
Long Name This column displays the project's long name. If the Long Name field is blank in the Projects hub, this column displays the project's short name.
Lost To This column displays the competing firm that was awarded the contract.
Marketing Coordinator Name This column displays the name of the employee designated as the Marketing Coordinator for the project.
Marketing Coordinator Number This column displays the contact number of the marketing coordinator.
Master Contract This column displays the master contract that is associated with the project.
Memo This column displays the notes entered in the Memo field on the Overview tab of the Projects hub.
Modify Date This column displays the date on which the record was most recently modified.
Modify User This column displays the employee name linked to the user ID of the person who most recently modified the record.
NAICS Code This column displays the six-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the project.
NAICS Description This column displays the description for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the project.
Organization If your enterprise uses organizations, this column displays the code for the organization that is associated with the record.
Organization Status This column displays the status (active, inactive, or dormant) of the organization that is associated with the record.
Organization Name If you use organizations in Vantagepoint, this column displays the name of the organization in your enterprise that is responsible for pursuing the project.
Outstanding Amount This column displays the amount scheduled to be paid for the voucher or vendor during the next payment processing run.
Overall Percent Complete This column displays the weighted average percent complete. Vantagepoint calculates this percentage as follows:

(All percents complete * Their respective budgets) / Total project budget

Overtime Amount Cost This column displays the billing, cost, or burdened cost amount for the overtime hours.
Overtime Hours This column displays the number of overtime hours.
Owner Value This column displays the total amount of the contract for the owner of the project, in the project currency.
Pay Rate Method

If you use Payroll and you set Enable Pay Rate Tables to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options, this column displays the pay rate method for the project:

  • From Employee Pay Rate
  • From Labor Rate Table
  • From Category Rate Table
  • From Labor Code Table
  • None
Pay Rate Table If you use Payroll and you set the Enable Pay Rate Tables option to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options, this column displays the cost rate table:
  • Labor Rate Table
  • Category Rate Table
  • Labor Code Table

No table is listed in this column if the pay rate method is From Employee Pay Rate.

Payment Date This column displays the date when the payment was made for a voucher.
Period of Performance This column displays the duration that you expect to work on the contract associated with the project. Typically, the duration is a number of months.
Phase Description This column displays a brief description of the phase.
Phase Name This column displays the name of the phase.
Phase Number This column displays the WBS2 element phase number.
Phase Number & Name This column displays the phase number and name associated with the transaction.
Posting Sequence This column displays the posting sequence number of the transaction. Vantagepoint assigns sequence number 1 to the first group of transactions posted during an accounting period, sequence number 2 to the second group, and so on.
Previous Payment This column displays the total amount of previous payments for each voucher line item, for the voucher, and for the vendor.
Principal Name This column displays the name of the principal for the project, phase, or task.
Principal Number This column displays the number ID of the principal for the project, phase, or task.
Probability This column displays the code for a specific probability that is used for win and/or bid estimation.

There are four default probability codes:

  • 25
  • 50
  • 75
  • 90

User-defined probability codes are also displayed in this column if a user-defined code was used for the record.

Probability Description This column displays the description of the probability code displayed in the Probability column.
Professional Services Completion Date This column displays the date on which your firm completed all professional services.
Project Address 1-3 These columns display the three lines of the project mailing address.
Project City This column displays the project's city.
Project Country This column displays the country in which the project is located.
Project County This column displays the project's county.
Project Currency Code This column displays the three-character code for the project currency.
Project Currency Count This column displays the number of currencies used in the project.
Project Currency This column displays the three-character code for the project currency.
Project Description This column displays a brief description of the project.
Project Email This column displays the email address for the project.
Project Fax This column displays the fax number for the project location.
Project Long Name This column displays the project's long name.
Project Manager Name This column displays the name of the project manager for the project, phase, or task.
Project Manager Number This column displays the number ID of the project manager for the project, phase, or task.
Project Name This column displays the name of the project.
Project Number & Name This column displays the name and number of the project that is associated with the transaction. Click the project name and number to view additional information about the project in an info bubble. Click the Open in Projects option in the info bubble to display the project's Dashboard form in the Projects hub.
Project Number This column displays the project number.
Project Phone This column displays the telephone number for the project location.
Project Photo This column displays the photo associated with the project.
Project State This column displays the project's state.
Project Type This column displays the type of project (for example, Educational, Commercial, Medical, or Federal).
Project Zip This column displays the ZIP code for the project address.
Promotional Project If the project is based on a promotional project, this column displays the project number for the promotional project.
Promotional Project Name This column displays the name of the project's linked promotional project.
Proposal Manager Name This column displays the name of the assigned proposal manager.
Proposal Manager Number This column displays the ID code of the proposal manager.
Referable This Yes/No column indicates whether or not the project can be used as a reference when talking with potential clients.
Reference Number This column displays the reference number for the transaction.
  • If the transaction is an implicit posting or an automatic posting, this column displays Auto.
  • If the transaction is historical, this column displays History.
  • If the transaction is related to revenue generation, this column displays REVGEN.
Regular Amount Cost This column displays the amount for regular hours, calculated as follows:

Regular hours x Labor cost rate

Regular Hours This column displays the number of regular hours.
Report at Billing in Billing Currency Code This column displays the currency code used in the billing reports.
Report at Billing in Billing Currency Count This column displays the number of currencies used in the billing reports.
Responsibility This column displays the level of responsibility that your enterprise has for the project, such as Prime, Joint Venture, or Consultant.
Revenue Description This column displays the description of the revenue source (for example, JTD Billings, JTD Billings + WIP @, or (Pct Comp*Fee) + JTD Reimb Exp).
Revenue Type

This column displays the revenue type. The revenue type is a code to identify how Vantagepoint calculates revenue for the task, phase, or project. There are six standard revenue types:

  • B: Job-to-date billing
  • M: (Job-to-date direct labor * Multiplier) + Job-to-date reimbursable expenses @ cost rates
  • N: No revenue generation
  • P: Percent complete + Job-to-date reimbursable expenses @ cost rates
  • R: Job-to-date receipts
  • W: Job-to-date billing + Work-in-progress @ billing rates
Review Date If the transaction is a billing labor transfer and the employee has acknowledged being informed about the transfer, this column displays the date on which the acknowledgment occurred. This column is only available if the Enable Billing Transfer Audit option is set to Yes on the Timesheet Audit form of Time Settings (Settings > Time > Timesheet Audit).
Scheduled Payment This column displays the payment date for the voucher: a date, Next, PWP, or Hold, based on the payment terms for the vendor.
Secondary Overtime Amount Cost This column displays the amount for secondary overtime hours, which are paid at a different rate than standard overtime hours. This column is available only if you set Enable Secondary Overtime to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options.
Secondary Overtime Hours This column displays the number of secondary overtime hours. Secondary overtime is overtime that is paid at a different rate than standard overtime. If you pay separately for secondary overtime, you must record those hours separately on the timesheet. This column is available only if you set Enable Secondary Overtime to Yes in Settings > Accounting > Labor Options.
SF Record This column displays the SF record identifier and this column is available if Salesforce integration is enabled in Utilities > Integrations > Salesforce.
Solicitation # This column displays the RFP number for the project as transferred from GovWin IQ.
Source This column displays the source of the project (for example, Client Referral, Consultant Job, or Marketing Campaign).
Stage This field indicates the current stage for the project.
Stage Step This column displays an indication of where the project is in the Stage process if you are using CRM. Steps are a sub-category of a Stage.
Start Date This column displays the start date of the project, phase, or task.
Status This column displays the account's status: A-Active, I-Inactive, or D-Dormant.
Supervisor Name This column displays the name of the supervisor for the project.
Supervisor Number This column displays the ID number of the supervisor for the project, phase, or task.
Task Description This column displays the description for the task.
Task Name This column displays the name of the task.
Task Number This column displays the task number that is associated with the transaction.
Task Number & Name This column displays the task name and number associated with the transaction.
Timesheet Line Item Approval This Yes/No column indicates whether or not timesheet line item approval is set up for the project. The timesheet line item approval feature gives your principals, project managers, and supervisors the ability to review and then approve or reject individual labor charges for their projects.
Total Amount Cost This column displays the cost of total hours worked.

For the labor detail lines, this column displays the total amount for regular and overtime labor: Regular Amount + Overtime Amount.

For the expense detail lines, this column displays the total expense amount.

Total Hours This column displays the total hours worked.
Total Overtime Amount Cost This column displays the total amount for all overtime hours: Overtime Amount + Secondary Overtime Amount.
Total Overtime Hours This column displays the number of overtime hours. This includes standard overtime hours and secondary overtime hours.
Total Project Cost Comment This column displays the comments entered for the total project cost (for example, "Fee only" or "Phase I").
Transaction Date This column displays the date on which the transaction was posted.
Transaction Type This column displays the two-letter abbreviation for the type of transaction (such as CD for cash disbursements, IN for invoices, AP for accounts payable vouchers, or EX for employee expense reports).
Transaction Type Description This column displays the description for the transaction type.
Transfer This column displays a checkbox to indicate whether or not a labor adjustment transaction was transferred.
Unit Bill Rate This column displays the rate for billing the unit.
Unit Cost Rate This column displays the rate for costing the unit.
Unit Quantity This column displays the number of units for the transaction.
Unposted This column displays a checkbox that indicates whether or not the transaction was unposted.
Vendor This column displays the vendor name.
Vendor Invoice This column displays the vendor invoice number.
Vendor Invoice Date This column displays the date of the vendor invoice.
Voucher Date This column displays the date of the voucher.
Voucher Number This column displays the voucher number.
Won/Lost Date If the project is in a pipeline stage that is designated as a Won, Lost, or Do Not Pursue stage, this column displays the date on which the project was won or lost or on which you decided not to pursue it further.

If the project is assigned to a stage that is designated as an In Pursuit stage, it does not have a won/lost date.

Won/Loss Notes This column displays notes that relate to winning, losing, or abandoning pursuit of the project.
Won/Lost Reason This column displays the reason why the project was won or lost or why you decided not to pursue it.
Won/Lost Reason Code This column displays the code for the reason why project was won or lost or why you decided not to pursue it.
