Before you can begin using the Project Information Management (PIM) integration, you need to set up the integration and add or modify security roles for users.

To set up the PIM integration, you enable the web service, set up and test the connection to PIM, and select the hubs for which you want to synchronize data. - Select Companies to Sync
If you are working with multiple companies in Vantagepoint, you can choose the specific companies with records that will be synced to PIM. - Validate Hub Record Information
If you are a new PIM customer, you can validate the hub records that you want to initialize to PIM. The validation process is necessary to make sure that all information in Vantagepoint records is compatible with the corresponding fields in PIM. - Initialize the Sync of Hub Records to PIM
When you have resolved all record errors and successfully validated hub record information, you can proceed with the initialization process that syncs all validated records from Vantagepoint to PIM for the first time. - Set Up a Security Role for PIM Integration Users
Use the Roles form in Security Settings to provide access to Project Information Management (PIM) tabs in Vantagepoint.
