Checklist: Processing Invoices that Require Approval (Batch Billing)

If you use the Invoice Approval feature in Vantagepoint, you can perform some of the invoice approval tasks in Batch Billing.

The following checklist includes the steps to produce an invoice (some of which you can complete in Batch Billing) and the invoice approval steps that you can complete in Batch Billing.

Step Description Location
1 Enter and post timesheets, labor adjustments, and any expenses. Transaction Center > Transaction Entry
2 Review the Unbilled Detail and Aging report for the project. My Stuff > Reporting: Reports tab (a Billing type report)
3 Run draft invoices for projects and review them. Billing > Batch Billing
4 Submit draft invoices for approval. Billing > Batch Billing
5 Review invoices, update fees, transfer, hold, view, bill, write-off, modify, delete, or insert transactions. Billing > Interactive Approvals
6 Approve or reject invoices. Billing > Invoice Approvals or Hubs > Projects > Draft Invoice Approvals
7 Process a final run for a group of approved draft invoices (accept the invoices). Billing > Batch Billing
8 Post the invoice transaction file. Transaction Center > Transaction Entry > Invoices
