Upload an Edited Invoice to Vantagepoint

After you download a billing invoice and edit it in third-party software, you upload the edited file back into Vantagepoint.

Prerequisite: Your security role must have the Allow Edit/Upload check box selected on the Accounting tab in Settings > Security > Roles.

To upload an edited invoice to Vantagepoint:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Billing > Interactive Billing.
  2. On the Billing Session Options dialog box, select options and click OK.
  3. On the Interactive Billing form, open the project for which you want to upload an edited invoice.  
  4. On the Actions bar, click Other Actions > Upload Invoice.
  5. On the Upload Edited Invoice dialog box, click Browse beside the File Name field and browse to the edited invoice file.
  6. Select the file and click Open.
  7. Click OK.

After you upload an edited invoice into Vantagepoint:

  • An Edited Invoice on File link displays below the Invoice Number field on the General tab in Interactive Billing. Click this link to open the edited invoice in the third-party software.
  • After you upload an edited invoice file, any time that you make additional changes to the invoice you must upload the invoice file again. This ensures that the Edited Invoice on File link on the General tab in Interactive Billing opens the most recent version of your document.
