Contents of the Edit Invoice Dialog Box

Use the fields and options on this dialog box to save a billing invoice in the file format of the third-party software in which you want to edit it.

Field Description
Edit Invoice As

Select the file format of the third-party software in which to edit a billing invoice.

Options are:

  • Adobe PDF: This option saves the file in PDF format to be viewed in Adobe Reader. If you own a full copy of the Adobe Acrobat product, you can make minor edits to the PDF file.
  • Rich Text Format (RTF): This option saves the file in RTF format. You can open and edit the file in any word processing program, such as WordPad.
  • Microsoft Word Document: This option saves the file in DOC format. You can open and edit the file in Microsoft Word.
  • Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet: This option saves the file in XLS format, for display and editing in Microsoft Excel. This option displays cell borders.
Edit

Click this button to save the invoice file to your workstation or a network drive. The file will be saved in the file format that you selected in the Edit Invoice As field. Use the Save As option in the bar at the bottom of the screen to save the invoice file. After you save the file, open the file in the appropriate software and edit it.

After you edit the file in third-party software, use Other Actions > Upload Invoice on the Interactive Billing form to upload the edited invoice file to your Vantagepoint application server and link the edited invoice file with the project in Interactive Billing.

Cancel Click this button to return to the Interactive Billing form without editing the invoice in the third-party software.
