Save an Email as an Activity

You can save an Outlook email as an activity. This will save the email's name, start date, end date, status, contact, project, firm, and any other important associated information. The activity will be saved on the Activities tab in the Employees hub and will be linked to your employee record.

To save an Outlook email as a Vantagepoint activity:

  1. In the Context Pane, click Log Email to save the activity information for the current email message.
  2. Optional: Associate the email with a project, firm, contact, or employee. Select the associated record from the options in the context pane.
This will save the email's name, start date, end date, and status as a Vantagepoint activity. The notes will contain all of the text in the body of the email. It will also associate the activity to the contact, to any employees that are included in the email, to the project that was selected in the context pane, and to the project's firm. The activity will also be saved on the Activities tab in the Vantagepoint Employees hub and will be linked to your employee record.
  3. Optional: Associate email attachments with the Vantagepoint activity as file attachments. Select the Attachments checkboxes to save file attachments.
See the Activities hub help topics for information on the activity fields.
