Modify a Transaction

You can modify a transaction or a transaction in a file before you post it.

To modify a transaction:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Transaction Center > Transaction Entry.
  2. Select the type of transaction that you want to modify (for example, Journal Entries or AP Vouchers).
  3. On the main form of the selected transaction type, select the transaction or the transaction file that you want to modify.
  4. At the end of the row of the selected transaction or transaction file, click or > View Details.
  5. If you are modifying a transaction in file, use the search bar to select the transaction that you want to modify or click or to page through the transactions in the file.
  6. Modify the fields on the form, including items in the grid.
    Option Description
    To add a new line item Click + Add Detail, and enter values for the required fields.
    To add a new line item that is similar to an existing one At the end of the row that contains the line item that you want to copy, click > Copy. Modify the data on the new row.
    To delete a line item At the end of the row that contains the line item that you want to delete, click > Delete.
  7. Optional. On the Actions bar, click Other Actions to perform other tasks such as modify control totals, set up currency override, or set the transaction as recurring.
  8. Click Save.
