Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Maximize the Search Results Preview

On the Actions bar of the Search dialog box, click to expand the Search Results Preview to full screen. Vantagepoint fills the screen with the Search Results grid and Show # of Results option allowing you to more easily scroll through and filter long lists of search results.

Prerequisites: Create a new search or open an existing search.

To expand the Search Results list to full screen:

  1. On the Search dialog box, click Show Preview to display the Search Results grid and the Show # of Results counter.
  2. On the Actions bar, click to expand the Search Results preview to full screen.
    Both the Search Results grid and the Show # of Results counter fill the screen, allowing you to scroll through and filter long lists of search records as needed.

  3. Click again to close the expanded Search Results preview.
