Contents of the Insert Fields From Hub Dialog Box

Specify placeholders for the text fields that you want to include in the proposal.

Select Fields to Add

This column displays the fields that are available to add to the proposal, based on the record's specified hub and proposal properties. As you select columns and fields, they are moved from this column to the All Selected Fields column. You can move the fields back and forth between these columns as you add and remove them from the proposal.

Field Description
Quick Find If the list of fields is extensive, use Quick Find to enter a single character, a string of characters, or a word to quickly locate the field that you want to add. The fields that match the data that was entered display in the All Selected Fields column.
Expand All/Collapse All Click this toggle button to expand all field options on the menu tree or close all field options.
Select Fields The columns and fields that are available in this list are based on the record's hub. Click the + to expand the field options and then select the check box next to each field that you want to use.

Click - to close the expanded fields.

Use these arrows to move fields back and forth between the Select Fields to Add column and the All Selected Fields column.

All Selected Fields

This column displays the fields that are selected for the proposal from the Select Fields to Add column.

The tags for the selected fields also display. For example, if you are using the Firms hub with the following fields selected: [Firms: CreateDate] [Firms: CreateUser] [Firms: ModDate] [Firms: Relationship], the proposal displays the Creation Date, Created By, Modification Date, and Relationship fields.

As you continue adding fields to the proposal, the sequence in which you insert them determines the sequence in which they display.

You can use the to remove fields from this column.

Field Description
Expand All/Collapse All Click the Expand All button to expand all field options on the menu tree or clickCollapse All to close all field options.
Selected Data This column displays the fields that are selected for the proposal.
Selected Rows For some proposal properties and hub fields, you can further define the data that is selected for the proposal. For example, if you are using the Firms hub and the selected field is Client Name, the Selected Rows displays a drop-down list that allows you to specify All, Owner, Clients, or Consultant Firms. In addition, it lists any other values that are defined in the code tables. The options that display are determined by your System Administrator.

If there are fields selected that you do not want to use, select the fields and click to move fields back to the Select Fields You Want to Add column.

When you are working in the Employees hub, if you insert any fields from the Projects grid, the Selected Rows option includes a To Be Selected Later option. This allows you to select project information at a late time, and you can only select information from a project that is associated with the employee.

Format Options If you select a column that is numeric, currency, date, or date/time, you can specify the format for that column. Click the link to open the Format Date/Time, Format Currency, and Format Number dialog boxes.
Insert Click this option to display the record with all field placeholders inserted. Placeholders that display in red are from the hub, which placeholders that display in blue are from a grid. Each grid has its own section of placeholders.
