Export Vantagepoint Data to a File Using the Integrations Manager Utility

Use the Integrations Manager utility to export Vantagepoint data to a file for one or multiple export tasks at a time.

To export Vantagepoint data to a file using the Integrations Manager utility:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Utilities > Integrations > Integrations Manager.
  2. On the Integrations Manager form, hover over an integration in the integrations grid, click at the end of the row, and then select Edit.
  3. On the Integrations Task form, review the accounting period end date that is displayed in the Period field. Each import and export task has a status and last run date for each accounting period. Be sure you are in the desired period before you run the export task. To change the period end date that displays in this field, change the active period ending date on the main Vantagepoint toolbar.
  4. Complete any of the following on the Integrations Manager Task form to export Vantagepoint data to a file:
    • To export Vantagepoint data for all the export tasks in the tasks grid for an integration: Click the Export All action. In the dialog box that asks if you want to save the CustomIntegrationExport.zip file, click Save As and save the ZIP file to a location on your PC or network. The ZIP file contains the data files generated for each export task.
    • To export Vantagepoint data for only certain export tasks in the tasks grid: Use the check box at the beginning of each row to select the desired export tasks. Then click the Export Selected action. In the dialog box that asks if you want to save the CustomIntegrationExport.zip file, click Save As and save the ZIP file to a location on your PC or network. The ZIP file contains separate data files generated for each export task that you selected.
    • To review and revise a data export definition and then export Vantagepoint data using the definition: Hover over the export task in the tasks grid, click at the end of the row, and select Edit. This opens the Definition Setup form in Utilities > Imports & Exports > Exports. Make any changes to the data export definition, and then click the Export action on the form to export Vantagepoint data to a file. IMPORTANT: Exporting data this way is not tracked in the Integrations Manager utility. The Status and Last Run fields on the Integrations Tasks List form are not updated when you export data to a file this way.
    • To export Vantagepoint data for a single export task: Hover over the row in the tasks grid, click at the end of the row, and select Run.

      • If the export location for the data export definition for the export task is set to Default in the Exports utility (meaning that you choose the location when you export data to the file): In the dialog box that asks if you want to save the CustomIntegrationExport.zip file, click Save As and save the export file as a ZIP file to a location on your PC or network.
      • If the export location for the data export definition for the export task an email target: The export file is emailed to the recipients who are specified for the email target.
      • If the export location for the data export definition for the export task is an FTP target: The export file is saved to the location specified for the FTP target.
