Resource Management
The Resource Management application supports and enhances several key planning functions.
In Resource View, the application helps the resource manager understand future staffing needs, make sure that their employees are assigned to projects and fully utilized, determine if resources are scheduled correctly and workloads are balanced, and make hiring and layoff decisions.
In Project View, the application gives the project manager a complete view of staffing and schedules for their projects at any level of the plan work breakdown structure, including at the labor code level if labor codes are being used. They can also see actual job-to-date hours related to resource assignments as employees charge time to a project.
In Reporting, resource and project managers can generate, view, and manage reports that capture data about projects and resource plans. Use the Project and Resource Planning reports to track historical, current, and future assignments, review project schedules and plan details, and assess work reassignments from one resource to another.
