Use the Expense Authorization form to submit planned expenses that will occur in the future. From the expense authorization form, complete any of the following tasks:
Estimate future expenses and enter related charge information
Request a cash advance
Review expenses authorizations before approving or rejecting them (supervisors only)
Review expense estimates charged against specific projects (project mana gers)
Open the Expense Authorization form in one of the following ways:
From the MyExpenseAuthorizations or MyTasks sections of the desktop, click the link to an existing expense authorization. The link opens that specific expense authorization.
Click Plan Expenses ›› Expense Authorization on the main menu in the Expense module. The Expense Authorization Welcome page displays, where you can use toolbar options to create or copy an expense authorization or search for an existing one to view or edit.
The toolbar displays that the top of the Welcome page after you click Plan Expenses ›› Expense Authorization on the main menu in the Expense module.
The Expense Authorization toolbar displays at the top of the Welcome page. An icon is inactive if it that action is not available from the Welcome page. Depending on your role or function, the following actions are available from the Welcome page:
Create — Click to open a blank expense authorization.
Copy — Click to search for an existing expense authorization that you want to copy. The copy includes the background information of the original. You can then modify the other sections to suit the current expense authorization.
Search — Click to search for an existing expense authorization(s) that you want view, modify, approve, or reject.
