Search for a Résumé

When you search for résumés, you set criteria that filters the results. For example, you can search for only those candidates who are attached to a specific requisition.

To search for résumés:

  1. Click Recruiting > Résumés > Search Résumés.
  2. On the Search Résumés screen, select the appropriate values for the search criteria fields, paying particular attention to the following.
    OptionDescription
Requisition If you want to search only those applicants and/or candidates attached to a specific requisition, select the requisition name(s) from the multi-select field.

Doing so targets the search to only those requisitions, instead of the entire résumé database.

Boolean Search Terms Use boolean search functions to customize your search string, such as the following:
    • +: Prepend the keyword with this qualifier to indicate that the word must be included in the search results.
    • -: Prepend the keyword with this qualifier to indicate an undesirable word, which must not be included in the search results.
    • AND: Use this operator to indicate that all the keywords you entered must be present in the search results.
    • OR: Use this operator to indicate that any of the keywords you entered can be present in the search results.
    • NOT: Use this operator to exclude the keywords you entered from the search results.

Use a comma to separate keywords (for example: +programming, -accounting, AND responsible, OR hardworking, NOT sales).

OFCCP If your company is a government contractor and/or has enabled the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) tracking setting, you are required to select a requisition first in order to search the résumé database.

You must also provide the OFCCP ID and any data management technique details. Any value entered in these fields are tracked and displayed in the Résumé Search Details OFCCP report.

You can bypass selecting a requisition if you need to run a general search. However, that setting must be enabled for you by your company’s system administrator. Deltek Talent will still track all the search data and will also make a notation that a general search was performed.

Any matching résumé is listed in tables for Conceptual, Internal, and External matches, depending on your system's setup.

Note: The Burning Glass Lens Analyzer computes data appearing in the Relevancy Score column for Conceptual Matches. The calculated data is normalized as a percentage and represented with color-coded indicators.
Color Normalized Percentage
Red 0 - 25 percent
Yellow 25 - 75 percent
Green 75 - 100 percent
The Analyzer is the scoring engine for Lens/Match™, which evaluates hundreds of variables and calculates compatibility scores between tagged documents using various machine learning algorithms and a knowledge base of industry norms and trends.
Important: Lens Integration feature must be enabled (Administration > Global Settings > System Administration > Features > Recruiting > Integrations > Lens Integrations). If the feature is not enabled for the existing client, please work with Deltek’s Cloud Operations (DCO) team to sync the client's data/documents with the BG Lens server after enabling the feature.

A nightly script will keep the newly added data in sync with the BG Lens server.
