Contents of the Search Résumés Screen

This screen allows you to generate a search using criteria that you specify.

If you save the search as a Résumé Search Agent, you can subsequently let your résumé agents do the searching for you, so that when a new résumé is submitted that contains your agent criteria, that résumé is sent directly to you.

Your company's system administrator is responsible for configuring the fields in the search form and the columns on the results screen.

After you select criteria, use the Search Results Should Contain at the bottom of the screen to specify whether all criteria must be met (an exact match) for a résumé to be included in the search results, or meeting at least one criterion is sufficient.

Keywords

Field Description
With All of the Following Enter one or more keywords. Only those résumés that include all the words you specify, in any order, are returned by the search.
With at Least One of the Following Enter one or more keywords. Only those résumés that include at least one of the words that you specify are returned by the search.
With this Exact Phrase Enter keywords in a specific sequence. Only those résumés that include all of the words that you enter, in exactly the same sequence, are returned by the search.
Without the Following Enter a keyword to be used as the criterion for excluding résumés from the search results.

Other Search Criteria

Field Description
Résumé Type To search for résumés by type, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might search for résumés that were uploaded by recruiters.
Job Seeker Status To search for résumés based on job seeker status, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might search for résumés submitted by job seekers who have completed a phone screening.
First Name Set the drop-down list to Is Exactly, Starts With, or Contains and then enter one or more letters in the adjacent text field.
Last Name Set the drop-down list to Is Exactly, Starts With, or Contains and then enter one or more letters in the adjacent text field.
Phone Number Set the drop-down list to Is Exactly, Starts With, or Contains and then enter one or more numbers in the adjacent text field.
E-Mail Set the drop-down list to Is Exactly, Starts With, or Contains and then enter one or more letters in the adjacent text field.
Category To search for résumés by job category, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might limit the search to include only résumés for jobs in the Education category.
Job Type To search for résumés by job type, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might limit the search to include only résumés for contract positions.
Career Level To search for résumés by career level, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might limit the search to include only résumés for entry-level positions.
Travel Availability To search for résumés by the percentage of travel the applicant has specified as a preference, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might limit the search to include only résumés for applicants who are willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
Referral Source To search for résumés by referral source, select one or more values in the multi-select box. For example, you might limit the search to include only résumés for those applicants who are referred by current employees.
Desired Compensation To search for résumés according to the compensation desired by the applicants, enter a value in the first field, select the currency from the first drop-down list, and then select the time period from the second drop-down list.

For example, you might specify: 50,000 USD year.

Submission History You can search by applicant submission history.
Cover Letter You can search by text included in applicant cover letters.
Last Modified Date Use the date fields to specify a range of dates by which to limit the résumés returned by the search.
Location Search Type You can search by a ZIP code or postal code, or by a state or province. The type of location that you select determines which set of options are then displayed for refining your résumés search.
Type Related option Description
Zip/Postal Code Country Select a country from the drop-down list.
Search within Zip/Postal Code Radius Specify a radius for the locations to be included in the search.
ZIP/Postal Code Enter the ZIP code or postal code to search. Valid values are determined by the country that you selected.
ST/PR Country Select a country from the drop-down list.
User State/Province From the drop-down list of values that are valid for the country that you selected, pick the state or province.
Skills Select one or more skills from the drop-down list to refine the résumés search. When you select a skill, related skills are displayed below the drop-down list, in a box at the left of the screen. You can use the arrows to move one or more of these related skills to the box at the right, to include the related skills as criteria for your search.
Competencies Select one or more competencies from the drop-down list to refine the résumés search. When you select a competency, related competencies below the drop-down list, in a box at the left of the screen. You can use the arrows to move one or more of these related skills to the box at the right, to include the related competencies as criteria for your search.
Pools Select one or more résumé pools to search.
Last Contacted You can specify a date of last contact with the applicants as a criterion for the search.
Passive Job Seekers Passive job seekers are those individuals who add résumés to your organization's database but do not apply to a specific job posting. Select the Search only Passive check box to restrict the search to these passive job seekers.
Former Employees Select the Search only Former check box to restrict the search to only those applicants who are former employees.
Exclude Select one or more of the following check boxes to exclude résumés from the search results:
  • Not Eligible for Rehire
  • Eligible for Rehire (Conditional)
  • Not Eligible to Hire

Applicants who are former employees could be assigned to one of these rehire statuses when they were off-boarded.

Show Résumés with Highlighting Select Enable if you want to include résumés with highlighting in the search results.
Viewed Specify whether or not to include résumés that have already been viewed.
Search Results Should Contain To determine whether only some or all of the criteria that you specified should be used to determine which résumés are included in the search results, select one of the following options:
  • All criteria selected (exact match)
  • Any criteria selected
