Assign a New Designated Account Administrator

As a Deltek onboarder, assign a new designated account administrator to an A/E firm or BPM to update the user who will manage the technical and administrative concerns for the organization.

To assign a new designated account administrator:

  1. On the navigation menu, click Accounts.
  2. On the Company Account Settings page, search for the account record that you want to edit.
    You can use the filter fields under each header to search for an account. For more information, see Filter Account List.
  3. In the row of the account record, click > Edit.
  4. On the Account Setup page, under Designate Account Admin, select the Same as above option to assign the primary contact person as the designated account administrator, or leave the option blank to assign a different user.
  5. To assign an existing user from the A/E firm or BPM as the new designated account administrator, leave the Same as above option blank and search for the user.
    1. In the First Name, Last Name, or Company Contact Email for Support field, enter the respective information about the user.
      When you enter any information for the designated account administrator in any field, the field auto-completes and displays values from existing users' information that match your entry.
    2. From the list auto-completed values, select the first name, last name, or email of the user.
      Specpoint fills out the remaining fields with the respective values for the selected user.
  6. To assign a new user as the new designated account administrator, leave the Same as above option blank and enter information about the new designated account administrator:
    1. In the First Name field, enter the first name of the account administrator.
    2. In the Last Name field, enter the last name of the account administrator.
    3. In the Company Contact Email for Support field, enter the email address of the account administrator.
    Specpoint sends a user invitation email to the new designated account administrator.
    The designated account administrator will have the role of A/E administrator or BPM administrator as well as additional roles and functions.
  7. Click Save.
