Users Locks Tab

Use this tab to view and manage the list of objects that a user has opened. You can also remove the lock on one or more objects for a specific user on this tab.

Note: The grid on this tab is empty for new users.

Typically, you would remove a lock for one of the following reasons:

  • Locks may be on data if a session ends abnormally. While these locks are automatically cleared the next time a user logs in to the application, it may be necessary to remove a lock immediately.
  • A user may have left the office with data opened that is needed by another user.

Removing a lock on an object that is opened by the user who is currently logged in to a supported application can cause data corruption. If you attempt to remove a lock under these circumstances, the Security Administrator issues a warning, informing you about the situation, and requiring you to confirm the action.
