Import Users from a Comma-Separated Values (.csv) File

Importing users from a .csv files is one of the methods available in PPM Administrator to create user records and define user profiles.

To import users from a .csv file:

1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Users.
   By default, Users Detail View displays.
2. At the upper right part of the form, click to switch to Users List View.
3. On the Users List View, click Other Options and select Import From File from the context menu.
   If any of the installed PPM products are not compatible with PPM Administrator, the Import from File option is disabled.
4. In the From File dialog box, select the file that you want to import.
   You can click Browse to find and select the file.
5. You have the option to select File includes header row to import the first row as part of the user record.
   If you do not select this option, the application will disregard the first row during the import process.
6. Click Import.
   Once the Import process is completed, the Import Log dialog box displays, showing the imported records and error messages for any records that failed during the import. If any record in the file is missing a required field, a message displays and the import will not proceed. The Auth Type field is only required when adding a new user.
