Add a Process Server

Use this procedure to add a process server.

A process server handles reports, scheduled alerts, and workflows. It allows you to submit jobs to the process queue and then schedule them for processing. It delegates lengthy jobs to the PM Compass server, which, in turn, runs the jobs in the background. By doing this, the process server keeps the workstation free for other tasks.

To add a process server:

  1. In the Navigation pane, click ADMINISTRATION > Process Servers and Queues
  2. On the Process Servers and Queues form, in the Process Servers section, click * Add Server.
    A new line displays in the Servers grid.
  3. Complete or modify the other options as necessary.
  4. When you are done, click Save.
