Sync with Active Directory

Use this procedure to check if users in PPM Administrator are still valid within the Active Directory Services.

To sync with Active Directory:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select SECURITY > Users.
    By default, Users Detail View displays.
  2. At the upper right part of the form, click to switch to Users List View
  3. On the Users List View, click Other Options and select Sync with Active Directory from the context menu.
    The PPM Administrator validates the status of all users with Windows Authentication in Active Directory based on their domain and user ID. If a user is no longer valid, they will be disabled in the PPM Administrator. For active users, the PPM Administrator verifies and updates their first name, last name, and email address accordingly.

    Once the Import process is completed, the Import Log dialog box displays, displaying all updated records and fields.
