Create Master Elements

You can create master elements from scratch, from existing master elements, or from a proposal.

  • From scratch: Create and save elements from Proposals > Templates > + Add Master Element.
  • From an existing master element: If a new master element is similar to an existing element, open Proposals > Templates and click Options > Copy at the end of the master element's grid row. You can then edit and save the copied element to create a new template.
  • From a proposal: After you build a proposal in Proposals > Custom Proposals, select the elements that you want to add to a master element and click [ICON] Save as Master.
After master elements are created, they are available from:
  • The Master Elements grid in Proposals > Templates.
  • The Deltek Elements panel in Proposals > Custom Proposals.
  • The Master Elements dialog box, which lists all master elements that are available when a master element is added to a proposal.
