Create a Master Element from a Custom Proposal
A master element is a group of proposal elements that you create and save for reuse. Master elements are helpful for quickly creating new proposals that contain the same types of information and layout. You can create a master element from a group of elements that are added to a proposal.
Important Note: If you are creating a master element that has records, the records are saved as either drafts or final merged records depending on their state at the time you create the master element. If you want the records to continue to be updated from the hub, then leave the records as drafts when creating the master element. This ensures that changes that are made in the hub are reflected in the master element.
To create and save a master element from a proposal:
- In the Navigation pane, go to and create a new proposal or open an existing proposal.
- Insert elements onto the proposal.
- After all elements are in place, press and hold the Ctrl key and click each individual element that you want to include in the master element.
-
When all elements are selected, click
Save as Master.
-

- Category: Select a category for the element. Use the categories to organize the elements by function. You can also search the elements by category. Your administrator defines categories in List Settings.
-
