Insert an Element into a Proposal
Using the Proposal Builder, you can insert different types of elements into a proposal and design it to meet your needs.
This option displays if your enterprise uses CRM Plus.
To insert an element into a proposal:
- In the Navigation pane, go to and create a new proposal or open an existing proposal.
- Select General Elements.

Element Description Procedure
Image
Inserts an external image into the proposal. Double-click the placeholder icon to open the Browse dialog box and select an image file. The image file must be one of the following formats: GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, and .BMP. Insert an Image Into a Proposal
Text
Inserts a text box into the proposal. You can add, edit, and format the text as needed. Insert Proposal Text
Line
Inserts a horizontal or vertical line into the proposal. Insert a Line
Section Break
Inserts a break to create divisions between sections of your proposal. You can use sections to organize and group elements on the proposal together. For example, you could insert a section break after the proposal's introduction to create a Resumes section that groups employee resumes together. Insert a Section Break - Using standard functionality for your computer, drag the element placeholder icon onto the proposal and drop it where desired onto the page.
- Resize the element as needed by dragging the border of the element to the desired size.
- Repeat these steps for each element that you want to add to the proposal. To organize groups of elements on the proposal, insert section breaks between them.
- To change where the elements display on the page, use the drag and drop feature to move the elements as needed.
- On the Actions bar, click Save.
