Insert Text

Inserting text in a proposal is a two-part process. You must first insert a text box onto the proposal and then add text to the text box.

You can add text boxes directly to the proposal builder or into a record that is inserted into the proposal.

To insert text into a proposal:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to Proposals > Custom Proposals and create a new proposal or open an existing proposal.
  2. From the General Elements panel, drag the Text Box element to the desired location on the proposal. If the same text is repeated for each record, you can drag text elements into draft record elements. See Insert a Record into a Proposal for additional information.
  3. Double-click in the text box to open the Edit Text dialog box.
  4. Enter text in the text box and use the toolbar options to format as needed. See the Format the Proposal Text help topic for additional information.
  5. Click Save to save your changes.
  6. To set the text box properties, click once in the text box to open the Edit Text Properties pane. You can select background color, transparency, and border for the text box. There is also a custom color palette where you can select any color. See the Edit Properties Pane help topic for additional information.
