Example

You want to display revenue, cost, and profit for projects owned by your firm's top-level organizations, broken down by top-level performing organization to help you monitor and analyze cross-charges and contributions to your projects from other organizations.

By default, Costpoint Analytics does not enable you to analyze revenue, cost, and profit on the same tab. It also does not enable you to analyze data by both owning organization and performing organization simultaneously. However, you can do both on the Ad Hoc Data Discovery tab.

How to...

Specify the analysis period — Use the fiscal year, quarter, and period controls across the top of the tab to change the analysis period reflected in the analytics. Use the Period and YTD options to indicate whether you want to display totals for the analysis period or year-to-date totals for the latest selected year.

Select dimensions — Use the Dimensions lists to select the dimensions by which you want to break down amounts.

Select metrics — Use the Metrics list to select the metrics for which you want to display data.
