Use this screen to view information on parts, goods, or services in the database. You can enter both the item ID and revision (if multiple revisions are allowed) to view both item information and project item information on the screen.
Use this screen when you need to view information about an item or range of items.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a part/item ID for which information is required. The part/item description is displayed in the unlabeled field below and cannot be changed.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision of the item. If you selected the Allow Multiple Revisions For Each Item checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition Settings screen in Costpoint Product Definition, you can retrieve multiple revisions of the same item. If you did not select the Allow Multiple Revisions For Each Item checkbox, you can retrieve only the last revision of the item.
This field displays the unit of measure, if you entered an item ID and revision.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a specific commodity code for which to search. The description of the commodity code selected will be displayed in the unlabeled field to the right.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a specific product class. A product classification is a detailed grouping of items within a product type. The product class description will be displayed in the unlabeled field to the right.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a planner on which to search.
Enter the national stock number of the selected item, if applicable.
Enter the military specification number of the selected item, if applicable.
Use this drop-down to select either "Make" or "Buy" items. If you leave this field blank, both are selected.
Use this drop-down to select the item type ("Part," "Good," or "Service") or leave blank to choose all types.
Use this drop-down box to select "Active" or "Inactive" items. If you leave this field blank, both active and inactive items will be retrieved.
Use this drop-down box to select a specific buyer ID on which to search.
Select this radio button to find an exact match for the value entered.
Select this radio button to find all items that begin with the value entered. This is the system default.
Select this radio button to find all items that end with the value entered.
Select this radio button to find all items containing the value entered.
This field displays item ID for the selected items from the search.
This field displays the revision of the item.
This field displays the description of the item.
This field displays the item type: "P" (Part), "G" (Good), or "S" (Service).
This field displays the unit of measure of this item.
This field displays whether the item is a "M" (Make) or "B" (Buy) item.
This field displays the commodity code associated with the item.
This field displays the product class associated with the item.
This field displays the ID of the buyer associated with the item.
This field displays the planner assigned to the default commodity or overridden in the Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) depending on whether the status of the item is active.
This field displays the national stock number for the selected item.
This field displays the military specification number for the selected item.
This field displays the item's uniform product code, if applicable.
This column displays the item's Industry Class code, if applicable.
