Use MPS Control screens to establish settings and parameters for MPS functions. You can use these screens to maintain function settings, maintain planning codes, identify key resource types, and establish key resources and their capacity.
Use these screens after you've initialized Costpoint Material Requirements Planning, but before using any of the other screens in Master Production Scheduling.
MPS Settings—Set up and maintain basic parameters for operating Costpoint Master Production Scheduling. You establish forecast guidelines, rules for the consumption of sales forecasts, and procedures for processing planned orders generated from the MPS process.
MPS Planning Codes—Establish and maintain the planning codes to associate with specific production plans in Costpoint Material Requirements Planning and Costpoint Master Production Scheduling. You use these codes when creating "what if" scenarios to determine the impact of potential changes to production plans using a variety of criteria.
Resource Types—Create and maintain resource types, which are categories for key resources.
Key Resources—Establish information for critical or bottleneck resources, including the resource's capacity to meet production requirements.
