Use this screen to view, on screen, information about parts, goods, or services in the database. You can enter the item ID and revision (if multiple revisions are allowed) if you want to view both item information and project item information.
Use this screen when you need to view information about an item or range of items.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID for an item for which information is required. The non-editable item description is displayed in the field below.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision of the item. If you selected the Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition Settings screen in Costpoint Product Definition, you can retrieve multiple revisions of the same item. If you did not select the checkbox, you can retrieve only the last revision of the item.
This field displays the unit of measure if an item ID and revision are entered.
Use this drop-down box to select either "Make" or "Buy" items. If you do not make a selection, the system uses both.
This non-editable drop-down box displays the type, based on the item entered.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a specific commodity code for which to search. The description of the commodity code selected will be displayed.
Use this drop-down box to select "Active" or "Inactive" items. If you leave this choice blank, the system will retrieve both active and inactive items.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a specific product class. A product classification is a detailed grouping of items within a product type. The product class description will also be displayed.
Use this drop-down box to select a specific buyer ID on which to search.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a planner on which to search.
Enter the item National Stock Number.
Enter the item military specification.
Select this radio button to select items matching the value entered.
Select this radio button to select items beginning with the value entered.
Select this radio button to select items ending with the value entered.
Select this radio button to select items containing the value entered.
This column displays the item ID for the selected items from the search.
This column displays the revision of the item.
This column displays the description of the item.
This column displays the item type, i.e., part, good, or service.
This column displays unit of measure of this item.
This column displays whether the item is a "M" (Make) or "B" (Buy) item.
This column displays the commodity code associated with the item.
This column displays the product class associated with the item.
This column displays the buyer ID associated with the item.
This column displays the planner assigned to the default commodity or overridden in the Planning Part Data screen (in Costpoint Product Definition) for this item.
This column displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether or not the item is active.
This column displays the item's National Stock Number.
This column displays the item's military specification.
This optional field displays the Uniform Product Code (UPC) for the part. You can assign this value to the part in the Additional Item Codes subtask of the Maintain Parts and Basic Part Data screens in Costpoint Product Definition.
This optional field displays the industry classification code along with its description for the part. You set up industry classification codes in the Industry Classifications screen, and assign them to the part in the Additional Item Codes subtask of the Maintain Parts and Basic Part Data screens in Costpoint Product Definition.

Select this pushbutton to open the Item Cost subtask for the item selected.
Select this pushbutton to open the Item Billing subtask for the item selected.

Select this pushbutton to open the Substitute Parts subtask for the item selected.
Use this pushbutton to open the Projects subtask for the item selected.
Use this pushbutton to open the Project Item Cost subtask for the item selected.
Use this pushbutton to open the ECN Parts subtask for the item selected.
Select this pushbutton to open the Documents subtask, where you can view documents linked to this assembly part number.
Changes to this screen update the following tables: ALT_PART, BUYER, COMM, CUST, ECN, ECN_PART, EMPL, ITEM, ITEM_CST, ITEM_PRODUCT, ITEM_PROJ_CST, ITEM_TEXT, ITEM_VEND, MANUF, PART, PART_PROJ, PRICE_CATLG, PROD_CLASSIF, PROD_CST_SCH, PROD_PRICE_CATLG, PROD_PRICE_SCH, PROD_WARR_CST_SCH, PROJ, PROJ_SUBST_PART, S_WHERE_USED, STD_TEXT, SUBST_PART, TEXT_WHERE_USED, VEND, WARRANTY.
