Use this screen to define the source file structure and mapping for importing project budgets.
The Standard Source File Information tab of the Interface Configuration application contains the following tables:
Source File Definition - Use this table to define source file name, description, and the input file content from a Costpoint budgeting perspective.
Source File Include/Exclude Definition - Use this table to define the rules for including or excluding rows using row identification specifications, which are based upon specific columns and the data value within those columns.
Source File Row Definition - Use this table to define source file row type, description, and input file content definition from a Costpoint budgeting perspective. You also define row specifications using a specific column number and a data value within that column.
Source File Column Definition - This non-editable table displays the physical columns in the input file, describes each column, defines inclusion for mapping, and specifies whether the column repeats, at what interval, and how often. (You can use repeating columns only for creating accounting-period-based information.) To enter the column definitions, double click on the source name in the Source File Row Definition grid, and a data entry window will be displayed.
Before executing the Import Project Budgets function, you must use this screen to create input file definitions for each budget file upload format that will be processed.
