The Mapping tab presents the list of columns you have defined for the input file and the list of columns required for update in the Costpoint tables. You can define a link by dragging and dropping the column number from the column definition (source) to the Costpoint column (target) or by entering the column number manually. You can supply default values for Costpoint columns and mark them so the data for those columns is captured during import.
This non-editable grid displays the Source Name, Source Description, and Row Type from the Standard Source File Information tab.
This non-editable grid displays the information from the Source File Column Definition grid in the Standard Source File Information tab.
The Source Name column is non-editable.
The Row Type column is non-editable.
The Column description column is non-editable.
This column defaults from the target definition table, and you can override the values. The selections are "F" (input file), "D" (Default value), "R" (Runtime input), and "C" (Compute). The "C" options currently supported and their assigned values are:
Direct synthetic key is calculated based on the maximum key previously assigned .
Modified By is the Costpoint user ID.
Time Stamp is the system date and time.
Row Version is zero.
Last Update Date is the system date.
ORG_ID will be set to the project's owning org ID.
You must set all of the above fields to "C" for the source, with the exception of ORG_ID, which can be set to "C," "R," "F," or "D."
You must enter a column number if the Column Source is "F." Only source column numbers whose Include flag is "YES" (in the Standard Source File Information tab) can be used when mapping. You can drag and drop a column number from the Source File Column Definition grid that is displayed during mapping or you can enter the number manually. A column number is not required if the Column Source is "R."
You must enter a default value if the Column Source is "D." A default value is not required if the Column Source is "R."
If an input file does not contain all the required data for a table, you must supply a default value at mapping or enter a run-time value at import time.
If an input file contains repeating columns, the Fiscal Year and Accounting Period columns must have a Column Source of "R."
The following columns must have a "C" Column Source:
Synthetic Key - Project Forecast Direct
Date & Time record was updated
Costpoint User ID
Update Control Counter
Last Update Date
All YTD columns must have a Column Source of "D" and a default value of zero.
