Journal Entry Job and Equipment Information

For journal entries, you can now specify job and equipment information.

For Edit Standard Journal Entries (General Ledger > Work on Standard Journal Entries), the following updates were made:
  • On the New Standard Journal Entry window, the following fields are now available for standard entry and template type standard journal entries:
    • Cost Code
    • Cost Type
    • Equipment
    • Code
    Note: These fields are now also supported in all import types such as the journal entry import.
  • When there is a date, cost type, or equipment and revenue code mismatch, a warning message now displays.
  • When you are posting to a job or equipment, the options in the Reference Date field adjusts based on the days of the specified month.
  • When you are posting standard journal entries, the Reference Date is reflected on the following where applicable:
    • Job Cost Detail
    • Equipment Cost Detail
    • General Ledger Reference Date

Also, when you click General Ledger > Work on Standard Journal Entries > Post Standard Journal Entries, the General Ledger Posting Register report is now printed regardless if there are no jobs or equipment entered in the Job Cost and Equipment Cost detail records.
