Transferring Files Between DLM and Collaboration
You can share files between a project's DLM and the corresponding project space in Collaboration.
To transfer files between a project's DLM and the corresponding project space in Collaboration, it is recommended that you assign DLM sets in order to streamline the transfer of files. DLM sets define which document pools placeholders are linked to, and this determines whether files are synced to Collaboration.
Initial File Sharing
When you add new placeholders to a project's DLM, documents are not synced until you add renditions, and only if the placeholders are added to sets that are configured to sync with Collaboration.
Revised File Sharing
A setting on DLM sets prevents new file revisions from being synchronized with Collaboration when you add them to placeholders. In order to synchronize new file revisions with Collaboration, you must add them to DLM sets that are configured to synchronize with Collaboration. If this option is disabled for a DLM set, files are automatically synchronized with Collaboration when you add them to linked placeholders.
Incoming Files from Collaboration
When files are transferred from Collaboration into PIM, they are transferred to an unclassified document pool. You then use the Uncategorized Renditions tool to pull them into a project's DLM.
