Setting Up Project Spaces in PIM

To share project files between PIM and Collaboration, you must create and configure a project space in PIM.

You use the Collaboration tab on a project to create a project space and configure folder mappings.
Note: This tab is only available to Collaboration Administrators.
Step Description
1 Connect the PIM Project to Collaboration

When you connect a project to Collaboration, it creates a project space in Collaboration. It is recommended that you select an existing space as a template. Doing so automatically creates the required document folder structure and user groups, and defines all folder security and settings. You can use any space within your Collaboration account as a project space template.

2 Configure Folder Mappings

To enable the synchronization of documents between PIM and Collaboration, you map document pools to folders in the project space. You can copy folder mappings from an existing project if you want to use the same mappings as the template project that you selected in the first step. Alternatively, you can manually add folder mappings. When you create folder mappings, you can also choose to synchronize document renditions.

3 Invite Project Team Members to Participate in Collaboration

You use the Invite to Collaboration feature on the General tab of a project to invite as many external collaborators as you like to join a project space.
