Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If your company has enabled two-factor authentication, you must set up your account to use 2FA in order to log in to Deltek Collaboration. You can use any authenticator app to authenticate your 2FA login.

Attention: If the verification codes generated by your authenticator app are not working when you attempt to log in, it might be because the time on your device is out of sync with your authenticator app. Authenticator apps depend on the correct time on your device, and will not work if the time on your device is incorrect. To resolve this, some authenticator apps, such as the Google Authenticator app, have a time sync option in the settings, which you can use to synchronize the app with the time on your phone. Alternatively, you can set your device to use automatic time and date settings.

To set up two-factor authentication:

  1. Navigate to the Log In screen for Deltek Collaboration.
  2. Click +Two-Factor Authentication, and then click Need to Setup?
  3. On the Confirm Email Address & Password dialog box, enter your email address and password, and then click Confirm.
    An email is sent to your registered email address, with the following subject: Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication.
  4. On the Request 2FA Response dialog box, click Close.
  5. Open the email that you received, and click Setup Now.
    The Two Factor Authentication Setup dialog box displays. This dialog box displays a QR code, which you must use to create an account in your authenticator app. Do not close this dialog box.
    Note: The email token expires after 10 minutes. If this happens, you must repeat the process again to generate a new email.
  6. Open your chosen authenticator app on your device.
  7. Click the respective button to add a new account, and then scan the QR code on the Two Factor Authentication Setup dialog box.
    You are now set up to log in to Collaboration using two-factor authentication.

When you now log in to Collaboration, click +Two-Factor Authentication on the Log In dialog box. In the YOUR 6-DIGIT CODE field, enter the current 6 digit code that displays for your Collaboration account in your authenticator app.
