Navigate The Budgeting & Planning Interface

The navigation screen contains links to the various features in Deltek Budgeting & Planning. It provides a way for you to interact with the application and a way for the application to provide feedback.

The navigation screen offers access to data and tools, depending on the management context of the user. For project managers, it provides access to contract and project costs as well as budget proposal and earned value management support tools.

To navigate in Costpoint and GCS Premier Budgeting & Planning, complete the following steps:

  1. On the navigation screen, select a project in one of the following ways:

  1. At the top of the navigation screen, click the module with which you want to work.

The module you click determines what options appear in the Reports & Actions menu.

  1. Click the Management Context you want to use: Project, Organization, or Administrative.

  1. Select a report in Reports & Actions menu. The reports displayed depends on the Management Context and/or Module selected. Each report is labeled with a code (for example, C.P.L.1).  

  1. Click a report or action to open it.
