Designing multilevel profit and loss statements

unavailable in ajeraCore unless you have the Departments add-on

Multilevel profit and loss statements allow you to report on the multiple levels in your corporate structure.

In Ajera, multilevel profit and loss statements are based on reporting entities. Reporting entities are groups of departments that represent the various divisions in your firm, such as regional offices.

In a statement design, you can restrict the information in a column or an Amounts row to a reporting entity. In addition, in the Workbook Properties sheet on the Design tab, you can restrict the information in the entire statement to a reporting entity.

To create a multilevel profit and loss statement:

  1. Set up reporting entities.
  2. Design a financial statement, and add reporting entities to the design.
