  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Importing External Activities

Use the Import External Activities field to specify whether or not Acumen imports external activities.

When you select this option (default setting), Acumen imports the external activities into the project and they display in gray in the Activities view on the S1 // Projects tab. If you select one, you can see the predecessor/successor information on the Activity Relationships sub-tab. The external activities count towards the total activity count, they display in the activity grid, and they are included in metric calculations.

When you clear this option, Acumen still imports the external activities but only uses them to resolve relationships. The external activities do not count towards the total activity count, you cannot see them in the activity grid, and they are not included in metric calculations. The only place you can see them is on the Activity Details Relationships tab.

You can view the field on the Deltek Acumen Options dialog box Platforms (Microsoft), Platforms (Deltek), and Platforms (Oracle) pages.

Microsoft Project External Activities

If you are performing an MSP interop import, Acumen displays a log window if the system can't import external activities.

Note: Acumen does not import external activities from Microsoft Project Server.
