  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.

  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Deltek Acumen Options (Platforms - Deltek)

Select the Deltek products to which you want to link, and set related options.

Get External Data From

The products that you select here display on the S1 // Projects tab in the Get External Data From menu group.

Field Description
Deltek Open Plan (Native API) If you have Open Plan installed on your computer, and you have a valid Open Plan login, selecting this option allows you to link to an Open Plan project that is located in the Open Plan database to which you last connected.
Deltek Open Plan BK3 File Selecting this option allows you to link to an Open Plan BK3 (backup) file. You do not need Open Plan installed on your computer to use this method.
Deltek Cobra / Cost Data and WAD

Selecting this option allows you to import cost data from a Deltek Cobra data file and Work Authorization data (WAD).

Deltek CSV Format Selecting this option allows you to import cost data from a .csv file. The Acumen installation includes a comma separated values (.csv) template file called CSV Template.csv and some sample DECM files that are located in the Acumen > DECM Samplesfolder.

Deltek Open Plan

Field Description
Username / Password Enter your username and password so that you don't have to enter them every time that you import an Open Plan project.
Import Code Field Definition As Specify whether you want to identify imported Open Plan code fields using their description, name, ID, or a prompt. If you select prompt, you will be asked to specify your choice every time you import a project. You can view the code fields on the Fields tab in the Source fields area.
Import External Activities

Use this field to specify whether or not Acumen imports external activities when you import an Open Plan project.

When you select this option (default setting), Acumen imports the external activities into the project and they display in gray in the Activities view on the S1 // Projects tab. If you select one, you can see the predecessor/successor information on the Activity Relationships sub-tab. The external activities count towards the total activity count, they display in the activity grid, and they are included in metric calculations.

When you clear this option, Acumen still imports the external activities but only uses them to resolve relationships. The external activities do not count towards the total activity count, you cannot see them in the activity grid, and they are not included in metric calculations. The only place you can see them is on the Activity Details Relationships tab.

Field Mapping

Select one of these options to have Acumen either apply the default field mapping template or a specified template when you import data. If the field mapping template includes code fields or user defined fields, they will be applied regardless of whether or not the Automatically Map User Defined Fields to Projects and Automatically Map Code Fields to Projectsoptions on the Platforms (General) view are selected.

Field Description
Use built in field mapping Select this option if you want to use the standard field mapping template. Clear if you want to specify a template in which case you will need to specify a location and file in the field below.
Default field mapping location Specify the default field mapping location and file. This field is disabled if you select Use build in field mapping.

Manage Publish Options

To setup Acumen to be able to publish metrics to a data source, you must first define a valid data source. Click Manage Data Sources to set up the data sources.

See the Acumen Installation guide for more information about setting up a database for use with Acumen.

Metric results to a Deltek data source Select this option to include the Metric results to a Deltek Data Source menu option on the S2 // Diagnostics tab > Publish menu. This option allows you to export all metric results that have the Publish Metric option selected on the Metrics tab to a database using the data source specified here.

Use the drop-down list to specify which of the available data sources Acumen should use when publishing metric results to the database.

Metrics to Acumen Touchstone Select this option to include the Metrics to a Deltek Data Source menu option on the Metrics tab > Publish menu. This option allows you to export all activity metric definitions and folders that have the Publish Metric option selected on the Metrics tab to a database.

Use the drop-down list to specify which of the available data sources Acumen should use when publishing metrics to the database.

Manage Data Click this button to display the Manage Published Data dialog box, where you can select contracts or periods that you want to delete.

If there is a no valid data source for publishing metric results and you click this button, an error message displays.
