Groups Open Plan Tab

Use this tab to define permissions that a group must have to access the options within the Open Plan application.

This tab displays a hierarchical tree that organizes all securable Open Plan menu items and features. The interface uses three key columns to give you complete control: the Main Menu column displays the hierarchical structure of Open Plan features, the Visible column controls whether menu items display to group members, and the Enabled column determines whether those menu items are functional for group members.

Note: To keep the interface manageable, the tree is collapsed by default, displaying only parent nodes for easy navigation. As you work with permissions, you can expand parent nodes to view and configure the specific child menu items beneath them.

Building on this hierarchical structure, each securable item includes check boxes in both the Visible and Enabled columns, giving you granular control over every menu item. For efficient bulk operations, master checkboxes at the top of each column allow you to quickly select or deselect all items at once.

When you create a new group, Open Plan applies default settings that prioritize security. All Open Plan items are set to visible (meaning you can see the menu items in the interface) but disabled (preventing you from actually using those features). This approach provides a safe starting point that allows you to selectively enable features based on each group's specific requirements, rather than having to manually restrict access to unwanted features.

Field	Description

Integration	This level of the Open Plan hierarchy controls the permissions that are granted to the group for transferring of data between a wide variety of applications and Open Plan using the standard and custom import or export specifications. It controls the following items: Import Edit Script
Tools	This level of the Open Plan hierarchy controls the permissions that are granted to the group for application-wide items on the Tools menu. It controls the following items: User Defined Fields Note Categories Calculated Fields Filters Sorts User Defined Validations Global Edit Batch Global Edits Email Advisor Rollup Definitions Spread Curves Reporting Calendars Group Delete Browser Views
Project Templates	This item controls whether the members of the group can create and delete project templates.
