Calendars Dialog Box

The Calendars dialog box contains a list of calendars currently defined in the calendar file.

The following buttons allow you to manage the calendars in the calendar file:

  • New: Use this button to add a new calendar to the file.
  • Add Child: Use this button to add a new calendar as a child of the selected calendar.
  • Copy: Use this button to a new calendar as a copy of the one you selected.
  • Rename: Use this button to a selected calendar to a new name.
  • Delete: Use this button to delete the selected calendar from the calendar file.

Child calendars inherit properties from their parents. This means that if a given date is defined as a non-working day in a parent calendar, it will also be a non-working day for all of its children unless overridden by the child calendar.

You can, of course, change the status of any day on a calendar. If you change the status of a day on a parent calendar, the status of that day is changed not only on that calendar, but also on all of its child calendars.
