Perform Automatic Placements

If you perform automatic placements with the Relationship Line Options set to Direct in the Network View Preferences dialog box, Open Plan staggers the display of relationship lines where necessary to avoid any ambiguity.

To perform automatic placements on a network view:

1. In the Project Views folder of Open Plan Explorer, select a project to display in network view.
2. Take one of the following actions:
   • In the Network menu group of the View tab, click Placements.
   • Press Shift+P.
   • Right-click an empty area of the view, and click Placements on the shortcut menu.
3. In the Placements dialog box, click Automatic for the placements method.
4. Select any options for the operation.
5. Click OK.
   Open Plan returns to the view and calculates new placements for the activities and relationships.
