Opening a File in a Specified Mode
You can open a file in a specified mode from either the Open Plan Explorer or from a dialog box.
Open Plan always attempts to open a project’s ancillary files in the mode specified on the Preferences tab of its Project Properties dialog box. If an ancillary file cannot be opened in the specified mode because of the mode in which another user has it open, the file is opened in the next most restrictive mode.
