Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Find an Activity

Use this procedure to find an activity.

Note: All hierarchical levels must be expanded in order to perform the search thoroughly.

Activities that are hidden because of collapsed hierarchical levels will not be searched.

To find an activity:

  1. Take one of the following actions to expand all hierarchical levels:
    • Click the Expand All button located in the Data group on the Edit tab.
    • Press Ctrl+PgDn.
  2. Display an activity view of your project and take one of the following actions:
    • On the Edit tab, click Find And Replace.
    • Right-click an empty area of the view, click Find on the shortcut menu.
  3. In the Find and Replace dialog box, enter the appropriate search criteria.
  4. Click OK.
