  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Set Up Parameters for Path Analysis

To determine the most critical paths to any point in a project, you need to configure certain parameters. 

To set up parameters:

  1. Open an Activity Spreadsheet, Barchart, or Network view.
  2. Display the Schedule Driver Analysis dialog box by taking one of the following actions:
    • From the Processes tab, select Schedule Driver Analysis.
    • From the context menu of Activity Spreadsheet, Barchart, or Network views, select Schedule Driver Analysis.
  3. On the Inputs tab, enter or select the necessary information.
  4. When you are done, click Perform Analysis.
    It validates the information that you enter on the Inputs tab and, if the validation is successful, runs the Time Analysis process with the various target fields and types.

Schedule Driver Analysis uses the results of Time Analysis to identify paths through a selected user character field.

Note: If you have the Milestones Professional® (MP) application installed, you can generate custom reports that take full advantage of its graphic display ability. You do this on the Reports tab of the Schedule Driver Analysis dialog box.
