Fields in Open Plan
Open Plan supports different types of fields.
Calculated Fields
User-defined calculated fields enable you to calculate data that is not stored in the standard versions of the project database tables. With this powerful reporting feature, you can extend the flexibility of any view by displaying data that is the result of a custom calculation.
The Calculated Fields menu option is located on the Tools tab. For more information about calculated fields, see Calculated Fields.
User Defined Fields
The User Defined Field feature of Open Plan enables you to create and use data fields that are not included in the product as delivered by Deltek. Because these fields can be used by most tables and are available in any view where you can select fields for display, they provide a great deal of flexibility and customizability.
The User Defined Fields menu option is located on the Tools tab. For more information about user defined fields, see User Defined Fields.
