  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Convert an Activity to an External Subproject

Use this procedure to convert an activity to an external subproject through the Activity Details dialog box.

To convert an activity to an external subproject:

  1. Display the Activity Details dialog box for the activity to be converted.
    Attention: For more information, see Activity Details Dialog Box.
  2. In the Type field of the General tab, select Subproject.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. In the Subproject field, click the ellipsis and select the project to be used as the external subproject.
  5. Click Close.
Note: Open Plan automatically saves any external subprojects as internal subprojects when you use the Save As command to save project information. This automatic conversion also occurs the first time that you save a new project. As a result, to set up a project hierarchy that includes external subprojects, you must first create and save the master project before converting any activities into external subprojects.
