Field Description
Scaled Preview

A Scaled Preview window displays a representation of all enabled title blocks located across the header or footer of the report.

Location tabs

You can define up to six title blocks for the report. The Top Left, Top Center, and Top Right tabs will place the title blocks in the header of the report. The Bottom Left, Bottom Center, and Bottom Right tabs will place the title blocks in the footer.

Enabled

By selecting or clearing this option, you can specify whether a title block should be included in the report. You can enable a title block whether or not it contains any information. If you want to include a legend on a barchart report, you must enable at least one title block in the header or footer (depending on where you want the legend to print).

Divider Line

This option controls the percentage of the header or footer that each title block can occupy. By specifying the location of divider lines marking the right boundary of left title blocks and the left boundary of right title blocks, you can define the width of the central title block as well.

For example, by setting the divider lines for both left and right title blocks to 30%, you can produce a header in which the central title block occupies 40% of the available space.

You can also position the divider line immediately to the right of the data in the left title block (and immediately to the left of the right title block) by setting value in the Divider Line field to -1%.

If the header or footer for which you are defining a title block includes a legend, Open Plan takes the area used by the legend into account when calculating the area for each title block. In this case, Open Plan interprets a percentage of 30%, for example, to be 30% of the report width remaining after the area used by the legend is subtracted.

Lines 1 – 5

A title block can display up to five lines of information about the project. For each of these lines, you can select a font and include any combination of text and variables that you wish.

If you include more information than can fit within the area defined for the title block, Open Plan allows the data to extend into the adjoining title block areas.

By default, Open Plan aligns data within title blocks as follows:

Title Blocks Alignment
Left title blocks Left-aligned in relation to the left page margin
Center title blocks Centered
Right title blocks Left-aligned in relation to the divider line

Also, by using \t before the text or variable displayed, you can change the alignment in the Left and Right title blocks as follows:

Title Blocks Alignment using \t
Left title blocks Right-aligned in relation to the right page margin
Right title blocks Right-aligned in relation to the right page margin
Logo

You can specify a logo to be included in each title block that you define. When you select a logo to be included in the title block, it is displayed in the logo preview box.

The ellipsis button beneath this preview box displays the Symbols dialog box that you can use to select a .wmf or .emf file for the logo.

The Include option controls whether the selected logo should be included with the title block. This allows you to define a logo for a title block and selectively include or exclude it when printing the report.

Fields

The Fields button displays a dialog box where you can select fields such as Time Now and the project status. In addition, you can combine a field with text to create an informative label. For example, you might select the field <Project Client> to create the following combination of text and variable:

Report Created for <Project Client>
