Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Replan Activities Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to configure the Replan Activities dialog box.

Field Description
Activity being replanned This group box displays the following options:
  • Original ID: This field displays the ID of the selected activity.

    When you select the ellipsis button, the Select Activity dialog box displays, allowing you to select other activities that are valid for replanning.

    Make sure the new activity ID is unique and not blank.

  • Suffix: This field displays the characters appended to the original ID for the new ID of the replanned activity. By default, it displays R. You can change the value.

    Make sure this field is not blank.

    Open Plan saves the suffix each time a Replan Activity is performed and restores it when the Replan Activity dialog box is opened. If Open Plan does not find a previously saved suffix, it uses R instead.

  • Preview: This field displays the combination of the original ID and suffix so you can view the new ID of the replanned activity.
  • Description: This field displays the description of the selected activity. You can change the value.
  • Status: This field displays the status of the selected activity.
  • Time Now: This field displays the project time now.
Options This group box displays the following options:
  • Split Date: Enter or select the date of the split in the activity. Open Plan uses this as the finish date of the original activity.

    Make sure the split date is later than the actual start date of the original activity.

  • Resources: This group box contains the following options:
    • In-progress resources assignments stay on planned activity: Select this option to remove in-progress assignments from the existing activity and move them to the new activity.
    • Split in-progress resource assignments over replan and planned activities: Select this option to put the remaining assignments of in-progress assignments on the new activity, making the existing assignment on the original activity to have zero (0) remaining.
    Note: Open Plan retains all completed assignments on the original activity and moves all planned assignments to the new (replanned) activity.
  • Steps : This group box contains the following options:
    • In-progress steps stay on planned activity: Select this option to remove in-progress steps from the original activity and move them to the new activity.
    • Split in-progress steps over replan and planned activities: Select this option to duplicate in-progress steps with a % Complete on both the original and replanned activities. Open Plan marks those steps in the original activity as Complete and those in the replanned activity as Planned.
    Note: Open Plan retains all completed steps in the original activity and moves all planned steps to the new (replanned) activity.
